This video is about traditional South Indian breakfast dish called Medhu vada. It is made up with ground skinned black gram, spiced up with pepper, cumin, hing, green chillies & flavoured with fresh curry leaves & coriander leaves. It resembles Doughnuts but tastes very delicious crispy out side & soft inside It can also be served at lunch time – acompanied with payasam & also served as a very good evening time snack with coconut chutney. This vada can also be served as sambar vada | Rasam vada and cold curd vada.

Ingredients
Skinned black gram – 350 to 400 grams
Green chillies – 4 to 6 no’s
Onion – 1 no
Ginger – 1 inch size I piece
Curry leaves – 3 sprigs
Coriander leaves – 2 sprigs
Pepper – 3/4 Tsp
Cumin – 3/4 Tsp
Hing – 1/4 Tsp
Salt – To Taste
Oil – For Frying
