This video is about Ragi Kali .This ancient millet called finger millet in English . Kali means the millet cooked thick paste form . It’s also called in Tamil Kezhvaragu Kali or Keppai Kali . In Karnataka it’s called Ragi mudde. This finger millet is very rich in fibre, calcium and lot of minerals. This is very popular and also nutritious meal in rural villages . This dish is accompanied with Palm sugar or Jaggery, Dried fish curry with butter bean , drumstick leaves curry ,Ennai kathirikai . It can also be consumed along with curd or buttermilk with raw shallots and pickle which taste like a heaven for farmers breakfast in the morning.
